UAE Youth Climate Delegates Program (YCDP)

The UAE Youth Climate Delegation Program (YCDP) supports the UAE’s focus on youth empowerment and dialogue to advance inclusive, ambitious climate action. The program was developed and launched by the UAE Federal Youth Authority in partnership with the Office of the UAE Special Envoy for Climate Change.

The YCDP aims to:

Support meaningful youth participation and upskilling
Reflect youth perspectives and needs in global climate policy
Include youth voices in the multilateral climate process

Selected Youth Delegates will have the opportunity to:

Be embedded in the COP28 UAE’s negotiations and partnership team
Engage with public and private sector initiatives
Gain first-hand experience, skills, knowledge and networks

Registration criteria:

Open to all youth in the UAE, including Emiratis and residents
Ages between 18 to 35
Demonstrate strong communication skills
Experience or achievements in environment-related fields or activities
